Paper Diamond Remixes The Weeknd’s “Same Old Song”
Paper Diamond‘s Alex B has done it again. This time around, he has transformed The Weeknd‘s “Same Old Song” (off of The Weeknd’s most recent album, Echoes of Silence) from a solemn, mournful melody to an almost angrily energetic musical rampage. Make no mistake, Abel Tesfaye’s gently dark, crooning tracks lend themselves beautifully to heavy, slightly uptempo, bass-driven remixes, but Paper Diamond has applied tight, dramatic percussion and a complex bass to create an entirely new and different version of Tesfaye’s original.
