Claude VonStroke Remixes Infinity Ink’s “Infinity”

As commander-in-chief of Dirtybird Records, Claude VonStroke has made an indelible mark on the American House and Bass landscape. I’m going to dispense with any debate over what contemporary American House music is because it would just be depressing. Over the past seven or so years, VonStroke and Dirtybird have constantly questioned the limits of House music and exemplified the bass heavy take on the genre. Recently, genre-less releases from Justin Martin and French Fries have taken us back to a time when House music was still married to the urban environment. It would be easy for VonStroke to just sidle away into the background considering the clout his catalogue carries, but that’s just not in the bearded man’s nature. While he’s taken on more curatorial duties in recent years, we still get our fair share of brilliance. His latest touch is a rework of Infinity Ink’s “Infinity” and it proves that few have a handle on progression and vocal usage quite like VonStroke. Stream below if you can get over Pete Tong’s obnoxious blathering.
