It has been a good while since we’ve brought you a giveaway for IHEARTCOMIX’s Club IHC series, but this Thursday’s throw down is just too good to pass by. Plastician and Swindle, coming in from London, headline the traveling talent while Los Angeles’ own Kastle, Patrick Brian and Swelta round up the drop dead bill. Expect plenty of classic East and South London sounds, as well as a heap of new band-oriented material from Swindle (although he’s only bringing out the DJ set for this date). Plastician has been running game on his Rinse FM slot and pushing eclectic big room sounds via his Terrorhythm outlet, all while working with some of the biggest MCs around and facilitating a reeducation among young fans in the roots of grime and dubstep. Kastle has an excellent new EP coming next month on his own Symbols label and has taken his own productions and his label is increasingly abstract, boundary pushing places as of late. And if you’re not familiar with LA’s own Patrick Brian and Swelta, then you have to hop on the train soon because these too should be heading up bills in the not so distant future. Enter your favorite Swindle classic below for a chance at a pair of tickets to Thursday’s show. Tickets can be found here and more info can be attained here.

sinjin-and-zoraSinjin Hawke & Zora Jones‘ long awaited return to the West Coast has been a long time coming and, this Friday (5/8), we finally get to catch the two live, in the flesh. Slotting into IHC Presents’ Club IHC format, Sinjin and Zora will be accompanied by GHET20G0TH1K’s own Venus X and local fave P. Morris at The Lash Pop Up in Hollywood. We don’t make it out to that quarter of the city all too often these days, preferring our friendly confines on the Eastside, but if there ever was a time to head up the 101, Sinjin and Zora’s tour stop is it. From their respective work with Pelican Fly to the ongoing, collaborative and visually groundbreaking Fractal Fantasy series, these two have married a wildly unique digital aesthetic with brilliantly functional club forms.

With L-Vis 1990, MikeQ, DJ Taye and more involved, Fractal Fantasy has hosted some of the most multidimensional sonic adventures in the club music realm, and that’s before you even touch on the videos, all-engulfing 3D adventures into obscene dance floor negatives,  modular death stars and contortionist silver globs. It’s all stunning really. Add to that Sinjin’s recent co-production on “Wolves”, opening single from Mr. West’s new Swish LP, and the fact that the duo have already been in the studio with Sicko Mobb and a melange of Chicago legends on this tour, and this Friday is going to be unmatched in LA lore. Enter your favorite song/video from the Fractal Fantasy series in the form below for your chance at a pair of free tickets. Expect this one to sell out so get in on the contest, but also get your own ticket as a back up plan.

dj-sliink

As one of the first Jersey-bred artists to garner national (now international) acclaim, it would be easy to assume that DJ Sliink has reached a palatable mid-career arc, but the Newark-based producer is still only 23 and still has plenty left in the tank. This Friday (2/20), Sliink will be taking over Club IHC at The Lash Pop-Up, bringing his populist style of club music to Los Angeles. And while Sliink’s big room inclinations might not be our flavor, his success has brought Jersey club to listeners the world over and he can still bang out lascivious remixes with ease. Joining him on the bill is Joaquin Bartra, one of the best hip hop DJs ANYWHERE and one of the folks behind Body High, outlet for Sliink’s debut Vibrate EP back in 2012. As always, we have a little giveaway for Friday’s happenings, but this time around we have two pairs of tickets to give away. That’s right, four tickets in total. Enter your favorite Brick Bandits classic and Tweet/share this contest for a chance at the tickets. The odds are twice as good this time around and you won’t want to miss this performance from a Newark don.

This Valentines Day brings another stacked night of dance music in Los Angeles and while you might be torn on where your night will end up, Club IHC has done about as much as they possibly could to bring you and your buds our to The Lash Pop Up this Saturday (1/14). A rare appearance from London’s Girl Unit, fresh off a new release from his Hysterics side project, tops off the night, which is also augmented by fellow Night Slugs/Fade 2 Mind badmen MikeQ and Helix. LA’s own Patrick Brian, who we last caught on our very own Heterotopia Remixes tape, rounds out a fantastic bill that should bring out some of the finest in grime, ballroom and ghetto house. Once again, IHC has gifted our readers a pair of tickets, winnable in exchange for your favorite Qween Beat (or Qween Beat related) energizer. As the sonic side of ballroom has expanded with reckless abandon, we all need to recognize and show respect to both the innovators and the young guns currently flexing their muscle. MikeQ is a figurehead of sorts and we’re lucky to have him out. Enter below and we’ll see you at the dance.

Another lucky giveaway for the City of Angels, this time featuring a stacked club music bill featuring some of Chicago’s best. We hardly need to introduce Brenmar, Sasha Go Hard and DJ Spinn, but each respective act has trail-blazed their respective way across the United States (and further) and created their own distinct lane within the rap, club and footwork worlds. Taking place at Los Globos this Thursday (1/22) and thrown by the good folks at IHC Presents, the night will function as the release party for Brenmar’s Award EP, an effort that sees the New York-based producer striving for wider audiences on collaborations with Uniique, Dougie F and more. Comment below with your favorite Sasha Go Hard track and cop tickets for the show here.

jacques-grene-los-globos

Our second ticket giveaway of the week comes in the form of Jacque Greene‘s triumphant return to the City of Angels, brining with him a bevy of talented friends including Groundislava, Low Limit, Mike Penthouse and Patrick Brian. Taking over Los Globos this Saturday (12/13/14), Greene will be flexing out a new live set that will hopefully elevate his R&B-driven ballads into rarified territory. The Montreal-based producer has spent the better part of the past five years releasing on a who’s who of labels, including Night Slugs, UNO, LuckyMe and 3024, and he’s starting to take on the roll of scene figurehead, driving the Francophone city’s scene in new and exciting directions, as well as exporting some of its finest homebred talent.

Enter your favorite R&B ballad or maybe a tip top track from Jacques himself into the box below for a chance at a pair of tickets to tomorrow’s happenings. And if you don’t end up winning, come through anyways. Tickets are here and it’s going to be a special night.

ihc-presents-nadus

Thanks to the fine people at IHC Presents, we have TWO very, very solid ticket giveaways for all of you lovely folks this week. On Thursday, Jersey club baron Nadus is headlining a busy bill at Los Globos that also features bombastic New York MC Leikeli47, whose LK-47 Pt. II is a shoo in as one of the best mixtapes of the year, MOD’s own Arnold and several other selectors. With May’s Broke City EP, released through Belgian imprint Pelican Fly, still percolating through the club world and reaching audiences large and small, Nadus is one of the premiere advocates (and vocal he is) of Newark’s siganture sound, bringing club music’s ever popular hit cut ups and rhythmic syncopation to dancefloors across the globe. And while Broke City invokes several other genres beyond the stoic, monumental sounds of Jersey club, it’s undeniable that the Thread representative is a true figurehead in the local Newark scene.

With that in mind, we have a pair of tickets for Thursday’s event, tickets that you could win with the simple action of selecting your favorite Jersey club classic in the form below. Ever since DJ Tameil, DJ TIm Dolla and their cohort brought the breakbeat-laden sounds of Bmore up to Jersey and transformed it into something more palatable for Newark’s dancefloors, Jersey club has racked up innumerable hits and while some have faded into the depths of the web, the large majority exist on Youtube, Soundcloud and other accessible platforms. Not to call out any names, but you will be eliminated from contention if you select a song by any of the unfortunate many zoologically self-identifying producers. On Saturday (12/13/14), Jacques Greene, Groundislava, Low Limit and Patrick Brian will also take the stage at Los Globos and we will also be giving out a pair of tickets. Submission form to come later this week!
